Project Overview

This site is about my internship work with Google's Chrome Status, that I worked on during the summer, 2022.
My work - Chrome Status Frontend Modernization and Protocol Re-Architecture:
- Greatly improved the loading speed (LCP) of large forms (80+ form fields) from 4.12s to 1.79s (230% faster).
- Upgraded the web app into a single-page application (SPA) for a better user experience with the use of web components and Lit for client-side rendering and state management.
- Simplified client-server response and request protocols for improved maintainability and scalability.
And briefly,
- Chrome Status is an web app maintained by a Google team with 130,000+ unique visitors per month.
- It is used by browser feature developers from Google, Microsoft, Meta, IBM, ... and many other major vendors.
- It is also the place for all web developers to track all the features and their stats in the Chrome browser.
